The Dawn Staley Foundation was born from one woman's deep love for the community that shaped her. Dawn Staley grew up understanding what it meant to face adversity — and what it meant to have people in your corner who believed in you.
As a three-time Olympic gold medalist, WNBA champion, and Hall of Fame athlete, Dawn took her championship mindset back home to Columbia, SC — channeling her platform and resources into creating lasting change for the city's at-risk youth.
The DSF takes a proactive approach — stepping into young people's lives before problems become permanent, providing structure, mentorship, and a safe space to grow. Over 25 years later, we continue to serve hundreds of youth annually with that same relentless purpose.

With over 15 years in youth development and education, Dr. Moore oversees all DSF programs, ensuring each initiative meets the highest standards of impact and effectiveness.
